Bio

ONE PAC & FELLOWS is the meeting of two artists from different origins and musical universes.

Birane Amar Wane, better known as One Pac, is originally from the city of Saint-Louis, and comes from the world of Senegalese hip hop.

José Gómez Romero is a musician and producer from Andalusia. Specialist in the study of Jazz Groove and Funk, he is based on the rhythms of James Brown and The Metters, among others.

Birane Wane and Jose Gómez crossed paths in a Jam Session in Triana, Seville, in January 2016. From that moment on, the ONE PAC & FELLOWS project began to be created.

The band has also counted, from the beginning, on two great musicians, Jorge Corbacho (guitar) and Fernando Jiménez (bass) both for the composition and creation process and for live performances.

ONE PAC & FELLOWS is a fusion of Funk, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz and Afro music, always with a vindictive message. The lyrics of their songs are written in Wolof, Pulaar, English and French, musically accompanied by lively and very danceable rhythms, which do not leave the public indifferent.

Bio

Elegant and exquisite soul pop. The Australian presents his album ‘Companionship’, a delicious proposal between soft rock and soul with reminiscences of George Duke or Steely Dan. A sophisticated sound, careful, with vintage echoes. In “Companionship,” Joel Sarakula, a prolific writer, producer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist, finally unleashes his chillier claims. His love of all things vintage translates into a devotion to analog synthesizers that is sometimes reminiscent of 1970s pioneers Todd Rundgren, Steely Dan, and George Duke, as well as contemporary artists like Thundercat and his labelmates. Young Gun Silver Fox. Born in Sydney and living in Las Palmas, Sarakula writes, produces and sings soul-pop contemplating her tinted world of the 60s and 70s through his vintage glasses.

Bio

Having been at the forefront of London’s live music circuit and drawing a slew of international reserves following their self-titled London Afrobeat Collective debut, the 10-piece collective set out to encapsulate the energy generated during their live performances, combining this with a newly evolved songwriting ability and refined musical prowess.

The result was the band’s 2015 album “Food Chain” and arguably the band’s best work to date, keeping true to the original principles of the Afrobeat movement and paving the way for its future as a unique and exciting genre to be. heard and enjoyed around the world.

“Food Chain” was widely praised in the media, earning applause from Jazz and BBC Radio 2 superstar DJ Jamie Cullum, who described LAC as an “incredible live band”. The album was also championed by BBC 6 Music, being performed by DJ Huey Morgan, Tom Ravenscroft and frequent support from Craig Charles on his super popular Funk & Soul show (LAC having supported Craig on tour previously). Produced by Leon Brichard (Ibibio Sound Machine, Plan B, Fela! Musical) with graphic design by prolific artist Ben Hito (George Clinton / Parliament / Funkadelic) “Food Chain” is an album of hymn songs with socially conscious lyrics, laid out to bold brass lines and hypnotic dance grooves.
